Yenagoa—The Bayelsa State Police Command, yesterday, confirmed the arrest of a 28-year-old mother, who allegedly sold her three months old baby girl for N300,000. Spokesman of the command, Asinim Butswat, gave the name of the baby’s mother as Oyikepreye Enoch. According to him, Enoch was arrested yesterday by men of the Akenfa Division, following a tip-off. He said: “The suspect sold her child to one Esther Tony, 30, for N300,000.” Butswat, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, added that both suspects were undergoing interrogation at the Akenfa Police Station, Yenagoa.
