NYC Tightens Security Ahead Of Trump Visit
Security was underway in New York City ahead of U.S. President Donald Trump’s return to New York for three days at Trump Tower on Monday.
Heightened security around Trump Tower in midtown Manhattan included heavily armed police officers, as well as metal and concrete barricades in front of the building on fifth avenue.
Trump is scheduled to arrive at Trump Tower at about 9:00 p.m. edt (0100 gmt) and will then speak with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe by telephone.
He’s scheduled to leave for New Jersey later in the week.
