The police have confirmed that Sam Larry, a Lagos socialite, is currently in their custody and is assisting with an ongoing investigation into the death of Promise Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad. Sam Larry was apprehended at the Lagos airport upon his return to Nigeria, following allegations of his involvement in Mohbad's death.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, revealed this information on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Thursday night.
Earlier, Vanguard published a report about Sam Larry facing backlash on social media after videos emerged showing him and others harassing Mohbad. In one of the videos, Mohbad and Zlatan were on set for a music video when someone associated with Naira Marley confronted them, causing Mohbad to flee in fear.
These videos caused outrage among Nigerians on social media, leading many to criticize and attack Sam Larry on his Instagram page for bullying and threatening the late singer.
