How to Convert Android IMEI to Blackberry IMEI and Use BIS on Android

Android users in Nigeria feel their data plans are quite unfair compared to the BIS plan given to blackberry users. They complain about how expensive their data plans are and how it gets exhausted quickly.

Well, in this post, I will be showing you how you can use BIS data plans on your Android Smartphone or Tablet, by changing your Android IMEI to Blackberry IMEI.

Step 1,
In this step, you are going to generate a Blackberry IMEI number for your Android device using a software. To begin click HERE to download the software.

Now extract the file, then copy the three .sys files and paste them in the directory C:\Windows.
Now Open GIPv4.1 and click “generate IMEI”. This will now generate a blackberry IMEI number and PIN. Now copy only the BB IMEI.

Step 2,
In this step, you are going to now change your Android IMEI number to a Blackberry IMEI through Terminal Emulator of Android Phone or Tablet, using the generated imei in step 1.

Before we proceed. I will recommend you backup your Android Phone and the IMEI for safety reasons.

Disclaimer: Changing your IMEI is illegal in some countries, I will not be held responsible for any consequences that befall the changer.

Your Android device must be rooted

For Single SIM Device.
Download and Install Terminal Emulator, get the app HERE, Open the Application and type SU then Enter. This will grant you super user permission.

Now type echo ‘AT +EGMR=1,7,”IMEI_NUMBER”‘ >/dev/pttycmd1 or echo AT+EGMR=1*7*IMEI_1 >/dev/pttycmd1 then press ENTER. (Replace “IMEI_Number” with the generated imei number in step 1)

Now restart your Device.

For DUAL SIM
Download and Install Terminal Emulator, get the app HERE. Open the Application and type SU then Enter. This will grant you super user permission.

Now Type echo ‘AT +EGMR=1,7, “IMEI_NUMBER” ‘ >/dev/pttycmd1 For Dual-sim, type this command then ENTER echo ‘AT+EGMR=1,10, “IMEI_NUMBER” ‘ >/dev/pttycmd1 (Replace “IMEI_Number” with the generated imei number in step 1)

Now restart your Device.

Now you have now successful changed your Android IMEI to BB IMEI, you can now enjoy BIS data plans on your Android device. However, it is advisable to subscribe on a BB first, then later change over to your Android device. Good luck
