Gynaecologist warns of heart disease risk from sexual enhancement drugs

According to Dr Ademola, there is a tendency for people to use drugs to enhance sexual performance, even though these drugs are not specifically designed for improving potency. However, he strongly criticizes the use of substances like tramadol, excessive alcohol, over-the-counter enhancement drugs, and other toxicants to boost sexual drive. He considers these actions as drug abuse, which can lead to more harm than good.

Dr. Ademola points out that the use of over-the-counter male enhancement drugs can have several negative health implications. These include damage to the urethra, difficulty in maintaining an erection, permanent problems with urination, "fractures" of the penis causing bleeding and requiring surgery, as well as a drop in blood pressure.
